The Empowered Innovation Alliance (EIA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization inspired by its founder, Yvette Dubel’s work as an Artist-Researcher, applied to actionable projects advancing social innovation. EIA is not merely about delivering a series of projects; it represents a commitment to using art-based approaches as a catalyst for personal and societal transformation towards a world that works for all of us.
The EIAis dedicated to addressing the root causes of social inequality. Cultural lineage: Early patrons safeguarded Fluxus ephemera (Gilbert & Lila Silverman → MoMA), backed Jenny Holzer’s Truisms (Barbara Gladstone), and supported Pope.L through alternative spaces and early grants (Franklin Furnace/Martha Wilson; Franklin Furnace FUND 2000; Creative Capital 2001; FCA Grants to Artists 2002). During our 2025 soft launch in San Diego, Janice R (President of Center Against Racism and Trauma), thewinning bidder of three pieces, who supported the cause to join their ranks.Â
Acquiring Trace Residue stands in that tradition—as an artist whose work operates between personal practice and social systems.
Rarity and provenance: Unique originals; no editions. These are scarce artifacts within a practice that often lives in spaces that render it invisible. Emerging from the historic times we are living through, they serve as historical artifacts.Â
